The Volusia Values Veterans Program (V3P) is now accepting nominations for the inaugural Honor a Veteran recognition program, honoring local veterans who continue to serve their community beyond military duty. ๐บ๐ธ
This program celebrates veterans who support fellow veterans and strengthen Volusia County through volunteerism, advocacy, mentorship, and service. Nominees must be honorably discharged, reside in Volusia County, and be actively engaged in community service. Learn more and submit a nomination at volusia.org/honoravet by April 1

Support for AMVETS Post 2 โ Assistance for the Family of Officer David Jewell
The Halifax Area Chapter MOAA invites our members and community partners to join AMVETS Post 2 in Edgewater in supporting the family of Officer David Jewell, who was tragically killed in the line of duty.
Donations will help provide direct assistance to his family during this difficult time. Any contributionโlarge or smallโwill have a meaningful impact and demonstrate our shared commitment to honoring those who serve and protect.

2024 HAC Veterans Award
The Outstanding Support to Veterans Award is presented annually to the local area company making the most significant contribution to veterans and their families.
- Such contribution may be in providing services that directly result in improving the health, morale, and welfare of individual service members and their families.
- Such contribution may be in providing US military forces with new and/or improved systems that significantly improve US military capability.
